Nice to meet you!

We are Johan Le Van and Ivana van Delft, the founders of Escape Room Katwijk.
How did it all start? By escaping.
At the beginning of 2018, we played our very first escape room — and we were immediately hooked.
Soon after, thanks to other owners in the community, we had the chance to play some of the best escape rooms in the Netherlands and Belgium.

As much as we loved playing escape rooms, the question kept popping up: “Could we create one ourselves?”
After doing lots of research, coming up with a concept, and crunching the numbers, we decided to take the leap and start looking for a location.
That turned out to be more challenging than we expected.
Permits from the municipality, landlords who had never even heard of an escape room, and finding the right space — nothing came easy.
But after a while, we finally found exactly what we were looking for.

No sooner said than done — today, we offer three unique experiences.
Fortunately, all of them have been very well received by our visitors and now rank among the top escape rooms in the Netherlands.
And of course, we’re incredibly proud of that.

We often get asked: “Are you done building now?”
Luckily, we still have plenty of ideas and are always on the lookout for a new location.
Thanks to the amazing team we’ve built, we now have the freedom to keep growing and creating new experiences.
